Mayun , Pakistani Weddings

Weddings in Pakistan follows by different traditions one of them is a custom in Pakistani weddings Mayun. This custom is especially followed by bride before one week of her wedding day , but now it is limited to three to four days and even minimum to one day. Mayun is traditionally celebrated by wearing yellow colour by bride and her relatives . There are variations in dress colours for Mayun like yellow and green, yellow and red some prefer white with red or green or yellow touch some prefer to wear orange as well.I will discuss further details regarding Mayun dressing in another blog.But the tray which serves the bride including sweets,green leaf is more highlighted in Mayun rasm and people try there best to decor this tray as good as they can .Mayun is also observed by groom too but just for one day .Mayun is traditionally celebrating in Pakistan and an important function in wedding.
